My First Weekend Getaway for 2010

For past few months now, I was being impatient to go to the beach. Unexpectedly, my siblings and my parents were planning to go to our province in Zambales for an overnight on the day after new year. Since, I had no plans over the weekends and that I was so dying to get to a beach, I tagged along. =)
Going to our house in Zambales took us a longer time than the usual 3-4hrs. This is because of several events that took place. First, my parents and I met up with my elder sister and her hubby in one of the gasoline station in NLEX. Thought we were just staying there for a comfort room break, but they decided to have breakfast before leaving. After, my mom even got some "pasalubong." Secondly, we had another "meal" stop at Subic for an early lunch. We ate at Pancake house and had pasta and milkshake for lunch. Yummmmmmyyyyy! ;P

Finally after that delicious lunch, we headed straight home. But as soon as we got to my aunt's place, can't resist that mouthwatering "lutong probinsya" specialty. For short, "kumain uli kami! (hehe). Hmmm..can you imagine the short span of time between our meals?! (haha!). And now, who can resist a good relaxing nap?! Well, not me! So got my body recharged before hitting the beach. In the late afternoon, we decided to go to La Paz Crystal Beach in San Narciso. But on our way, a sudden change of plan. We ended up going to Iba Zambales (which was a good choice.)




I was the only one who really enjoyed dipping in the water. But I know for sure they also enjoyed talking while seating on the sand and watching the beautiful sunset. We didn't really stayed that long since we're having dinner at home. And as we got back, we all dived in and had our mouths filled with my aunt's delicious "adobong baboy", "pinapaitan", "diningding" and "inihaw na bangus". Plus, my cousin who just arrived from New Zealand had her own share of "nilutong ulam" (medyo sosyal lang,hehe) - bulgogi (am I right cuz? ;P) And to end our first day of getaway, we had a videoke and few drinks (not a bad idea to close the night). =D

The next day, we all woke up early to get back to Manila and avoid the holiday "uwian" traffic. "Bitin" but, I'm quite satisfied. Nothing beats a fun and relaxed moment with your own family.
